Please block all mails to my email id bijoyjohncbe@yahoo.com from malayali-chechi @ yahoogroups.com?
I think you need to block a lot more than that now mate. You are going to get a lot of spam and scam mail now. You really should not give out your e-mail address on an open site like this, everyone can see it and there are some nasty people out there. Be careful and I would suggest you change your address and give it to trusted friends only. Good luck.

Log in to the home page of this Group ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fun_and_fu... ). After you sign in, you'll see an Edit Membership link near the middle of the top line (just below the ad); click on it. From there, you have two options.

If you also want to leave the Group (which will automatically stop the e-mails), then click the Leave Group button down in the lower-right-hand corner instead.

my group :dagperdag@yahoogroups.com
Today, the mails of my group dagperdag@yahoogroups.com are n't sent to the members?
I believe that there is possibly a problem in Yahoo that is stopping the delivery of messages. I am the moderator of two groups and I am getting multiple errors for emails sent to yahoo.com email addresses. Messages seem to be appearing on the web page for my groups but are not being delivered. I understand that this started around noon (London time) yesterday.

I can get mails from my group of tac@yahoogroups.com, but I can not send mails to this group. Why?
It's possible that the group could be set up as a newsletter which means that only the owners can send out information to group members. Another reason is that the list could be set up to moderate all new members for a time to protect the list against spam and then after a time the member can post without having to be moderated.
I would recommend contacting the owner of the group as well to see what they say. To get in touch with the owner of the group send an e-mail to the address that will look something like this: group-owner@yahoogroups.com
I can get mails from my group of tac@yahoogroups.com, but I can not send mails to this group. Why?
the group allows posts from all members, and does not require post approval. have you tried to post from the group or just through your own e-mail provider? does your post get returned to you or do you get an error messages?

Why am I getting e-mails from my IgboEvents@yahoogroups into my private Africaworks@Gmail.com account?

You are getting your yahoo group messages at your gmail account because that's the way you set it up.
You must change the email address yourself on all the groups you are subscribed. Do that quickly by going to "MY Groups" by clicking on this link: http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups .
Click "Edit My Groups" tab.
For each group listed, use the corresponding drop-down arrow and select the email address you want group mail sent to.
Click Save Changes.

How can i improve my group cool_sensations@yahoogroups.co鈥?and get e mails of people to send them invite.?
You could start by editing your colors. Custom colors can be a big improvement. Your cover photo could also be larger, the current one is very small. You could send an invitation, do your own don't bother with the invite button, to all your friends and relatives with a description of the group and include the URL. Ask them to do the same thing to their friends and relatives. Good luck. It takes time to build an active group.
How can i improve my group cool_sensations@yahoogroups.co鈥?and get e mails of people to send them invite.?
it's against TOS to obtain e-mails of unknown people and send them invites to a yahoo group- it's called spam. all it takes is one of those unknown people you send an invite to, to fill out a abuse form and there ya go.
your group looks fine- what gains members is a topic of interest and if it's not of interest, gaining members just takes time.
good luck
Reply:first of all..you can be removed for posting your group name. This is called promote.
If you need to have people to join your group why not tell your friends and they tell there freind and ask them for there e-mails

Not getting mails from batch81 bjmcpune@yahoogroups.com?
Yahoo has been working on their sites, they had a message up saying they hoped to have it fixed soon. Many others not receiving or able to read or access the mail. Try one of these links for now, it's basic, but it works. http://us.m.yahoo.com/p/mail Or: http://de.m.yahoo.com/p/mail Or: http://uk.m.yahoo.com/p/mail You will probably find your mail there for now.
While reading mails sent to my yahoogroups, i can't read the complete email ids. what i can see is abc@.....
This aplies to the email ids of the sender as well as the email ids mentioned in the mails. Also i can't see any attachments.
While reading mails sent to my yahoogroups, i can't read the complete email ids. what i can see is abc@.....
The following may be the reason:
"Whenever a page containing your email address is displayed to other members or made "public" to non-members, we mask your address to prevent mass harvesting. For example, if your email address is "joe@xyfoobar.com," we display "joe@x..." However, in most cases, the owner and moderators of your group can see your email address (it won鈥檛 be masked for them as they often need to see member addresses to manage the group). "
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...
Reply:When the messages show up on the groups' pages it only shows a partial address at the top of the message for both parties. But if someone needs to send a message to the other person there's a section to the right of the message where one can click that says "Send Message" and then above that you can see the full id of the person who is sending the message.
As for the issue of attachments Yahoo Groups changed that feature about a year or two ago so that when messages get archived the attachments can't be included (even if attachments are allowed to be sent to group members). They had to do this because of frequent issues with viruses.
Reply:the reasons why memebrs cant see it past the @ is due to prevention of spammers obtaining addreses for more spam. they cant see past the @ in the members list either, only owners can

The e-mails sent to the yahoogroups are coming back with timeout message. Why?
My server isn't in any spam blacklist. It is configured normal. This is the only domain (yahoogroups.com), wich doesn't accept the mail connection with him.
The e-mails sent to the yahoogroups are coming back with timeout message. Why?
Yahoo has been having major server issues since at LEAST Jan. 10, seemingly just with particular servers. And what's happening to you is unfortunately one of the many problems that people are having because of them, and Yahoo doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry to solve them. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems.
I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since Jan. 10, and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this.
Please see my posting from Fri. Jan. 12 under the heading "Anyone having problems of any kind w/Yahoo Mail, PLEASE READ THIS" for more info and on reporting problems to Yahoo.
Since that original posting, they've also sent another e-mail that they've escalated the problem (or should I say problems!) to their engineering department, which is an indication of major problems, and not just a minor S/W "glitch." And again, these problems are not exclusive to Yahoo's Beta, but it does seem to compound the existing problems. This would indicate to me that there are also compatibility issues btwn. the H/W and S/W, besides the server problems.

Another group owner and I have been discussing it. She just got a notice :

Some things I wrote at 9am are just showing up now at 2am.

Why was our YahooGroups Mailing List shutdown?
We ran a mailing list on yahhogroups which was inexplicably shutdown over a weekend August 6th 2005. We received no explanation and still don't know whay they did it as the content of the list was totally legit.
Why was our YahooGroups Mailing List shutdown?
I believe Yahoo! shuts down mailing lists with no activity for 90 days.
You should have been given a warning, though. Are you sure you're registered with a working email address at Yahoo! Groups, or that the warning wasn't caught by your spam filter?

I believe Yahoo! shuts down mailing lists with no activity for 90 days.
You should have been given a warning, though. Are you sure you're registered with a working email address at Yahoo! Groups, or that the warning wasn't caught by your spam filter?

Why is the mail thru my yahoogroups not coming to my mail box?
you might have to edit your settings. But I did hear that Yahoo was having a problem with this over the weekend. It was supposed to have been repaired but you might need to put in another trouble ticket.
Why is the mail thru my yahoogroups not coming to my mail box?
i am not sure why.
Reply:go back into your groups setting for that particular group you want and allow messages posted to be sent via email. as opposed to "i will read it on the message board".

Yahoogroups: as Moderator e-mail reply to approve not working.?
As Moderator I'm receiving e-mails to approve a message sent to the group. The instructions say simply replying will approve the message and send it to the group. This doesn't seem to be working. I have to login to the group and can still see the msg in the pending approval queue and I can approve it from there just fine but the reply approval doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas as to why?
Thanks,
Dan

If the owner of a Yahoogroups E-mail site were to die, could an administrator be designated as the owner?
Unless the owner left the will and designated someone else.
How do members in my group who have other mail accounts tan yahoo have access to yahoogroups homepage?
is there a way to link the hotmail account to a yahoo group?
How do members in my group who have other mail accounts tan yahoo have access to yahoogroups homepage?
the yahoo account/ ID is what links members to the group, not by e-mail.
there is no way to link an e-mail to an actual
Y group for the group it's self other than what yahoo provides.
members who want to edit and add an e-mail go to edit membership at the top of the page, then scroll down to e-mail and click the full link that says add new e-mail, then follow steps and confirm e-mail.

Is anyone else having problems with yahoogroups ads overlapping your e-mail messages?
This makes them difficult to read. Is there a way to get rid of this problem? I seem to be the only one in my groups whose e-mail is beset by this problem.

I'm getting very little yahoogroups mail right now....what's up?
I just happened to come across a message in this Answers! bloc which says something about a virus which overwhelmed Yahoo! and as a result, they've had to drop (not deliver) the majority of all outgoing group e-mails.
I'm getting very little yahoogroups mail right now....what's up?
I'm a moderator/listowner and have not been able to send or receive messages for at least 24 hours now. I've been searching around and there is no sign of any information from Yahoo!

Yahoogroups mail to Bellsouth bouncing?
I am a Bellsouth user. Although my Bellsouth mailbox is nowhere near capacity, I am getting repeated "hard bounce" messages from Yahoogroups requiring me to reactivate my Yahoogroups account. Are other Bellsouth users having this same problem? And do you have any idea what is causing it, and when it will be fixed? I contacted Bellsouth via email and got a very general answer, i.e. they know there is a problem. Any info appreciated!
Yahoogroups mail to Bellsouth bouncing?
There have been massive amounts of bouncing emails for Bellsouth customers. Seems like Bellsouth, AOL, Hotmail and a few other ISP's do not "play nice" with Yahoo mail. Sometimes messes like this are magically cleared up without the customer having to do anything.
My hotmail addy started bouncing today. I signed in to one of my groups, saw the bouncing alert at top of screen, clicked on it and reactivated my account. Got an email from Yahoo to verify my reactivation. Then it cleared up immediately. Perhaps this would work for you also.
Reply:I am also a Bell South user. I had to go into ALL my Yahoo groups and change my email delivery address because every time I reset my Bell South address, it would still bounce. I would sure like to know what's going on too.. This started about 2 weeks ago and is still happening.. What's up with that?
Reply:Get a free YAHOO email address... mine is awesome!
I have bellsouth as a provider and I hate it (I can not afford anything else in my area at least not right now)
My bellsouth email fills up and they bounce a lot of messages even though I empty it regularly. My YAHOO has never messed up
I use my YAHOO for all my important mail. (Although I understand as vendictive as they are at bellsouth the are probably going to get even with me for posting this)
Good luck getting any answers from Bellsouth or At%26amp;t
They have been a pain in the butt for me for several years. Awful customer service on their on-line chat thing. They run you in loops if you do call in by phone and put you back where you started from.... I am looking for a decent dsl provider too.
Reply:call bell south, they admit it's on their end not yahoo

How do I contact yahoo customer service? I am not getting yahoogroups mail. thanks.?
there should be a contact customer # or a contact us icon in the web page from yahoo.com??at the bottom of the page too!!
How do I contact yahoo customer service? I am not getting yahoogroups mail. thanks.?
Do you mean from a specific group or from a number of them? Were you once getting them and it stopped?
Many possibilities.
Assuming you've checked your membership settings and verified that the group is set to your correct email address...
Your spam filter may be catching them.
Your ISP may be bouncing them. See answer below for help with this.
Reply:This is not a yahoo issue, this is a group setting issue, I would sign into the group and edit your membership set your message frequency{individual, daily digest etc}
If this does not help contact the moderater or owner of your group.

How do I delete a defunct e-mail address from my YahooGroups account?
It's the default in the system and I can no longer access it.
How do I delete a defunct e-mail address from my YahooGroups account?
Go to the group's site, click on edit membership along the top. In the next window scroll down and tick leave group Click save changes and you should be out. It may take a day to take effect
Reply:you'd go to My Account, which is at the very top middle of the page on a group while signed in near the Sign In link. you can also get to this area via the messenger.
you can make any e-mail your primary- once there click the first edit you see on the right (they put them in odd place) then back space out the address that's defunct
to add a new address-
go to this link- http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs click add email address on top left- follow steps and confirm address.
then go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the column Email Address click the arrow for the drop down box and select new address- click save changes

What does it mean when Yahoogroups says my mail is bouncing? How do I stop it?
IT MEANS THAT YOUR GROUP E-MAILS ARE GETTING KICKED BACK TO THE SENDER AS AN INVALID ADDRESS
FOR INSTANCE IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP TO GET FREECYCLE OR NETFLIX MAIL THEY SEND AS A GROUP AND YOURS IS "BOUNCING" BACK TO THEM
THEY SUGGEST THAT YOU RE-INSTATE YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS WITH WHOMEVER YOU ARE GETTING THAT TYPE OF MAIL FROM
HERE'S THE CATCH
THERE PROBABLY IS NO PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE
THE PROBLEM WAS FIGURED OUT TO BE ANOTHER YAHOO ERROR
YOU ARE NO DOUBT GETTING YOUR MAIL AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO
THEY WILL FIX IT EVENTUALLY
NOT TO WORRY AS LONG AS YOU ARE GETTING YOUR MAIL
What does it mean when Yahoogroups says my mail is bouncing? How do I stop it?
1. When you subscribe on any of yahoo group, you start getting messages.
2. Now when you reply them, you must be clicking on "reply all" rather than just reply.
3. So, all other groups will be getting your messages and they could not recieve your messages as long as your not member.
4. As a result you are getting your mails bounced back !!
Reply:delete your old messages, dump your gray mail, save any messages you have to save in a folder. it means there's no room for more mail!
best,
cryllie
Reply:Change your spam mail settings to low or medium risk or add the mail senders to your address book and leave your settings on high.

How come my yahoogroups mail keeps bouncing? I fix it, turn off the pc at night & it all bounces again.?
In order to "fix" the problem, I have to go to each individual group %26amp; "edit" my account info (I don't really edit - just go to that screen %26amp; press "finish") but if the computer is turned off, everything starts bouncing again. Sometimes it is hard bounces %26amp; sometimes soft. Thanks for your help! By the way, I'm a bit "computer challenged", so talk to me like I'm a 3 year old... :)

How can i stop yahoogroups from sending the e-mail i sent to yahoogroup over and over again?
It is a Yahoo glitch. We had the same problem here on Y/A just recently.
They sent e-mail notification for the same best answer hundreds of times over and over again.
It is sure annoying, so I hope it will be solved for you too soon.
